A bit more rest is in order :P
Today I was feeling well enough to go on a run. It was a great day out and I was happy to be hitting the pavement again. I was feeling fabulous for the first little while and enjoying being back out there. I even did a proper warm up (I'm known to be bad about that.) I was happily in my own little running world when things seemed...odd. I thought I'd push through it for the next thirty seconds and then slow down. This resulted in a not so pleasant vomiting at the side of the road experience. (It wasn't as bad as it sounds written down.)
My thought process was something like, "Crap...at least I wasn't in a race..." I just walked the rest of my route (this took about an hour) because I didn't feel like going inside then. I looked at my watch from when I started running and realized I had done two miles at a 6:30 pace (this was unintended I had estimated I was going at 9:00 in my head.) I'm sure this was too fast for coming back from time off but it really didn't feel that fast so who knows why my body is scheming against me. I feel fine so it's annoying that I have to take some more rest days. I despise lots of them in a row.
Despite that setback I did enjoy my time outside. I was able to listen to my NEJM podcast when I walked afterwards and I always love getting some fresh air. I'm such a nerd sometimes.
In terms of the shoes I was in the Mizuno pair and they felt pretty good. No complaints as of now ;) I love how you cannot feel the pavement with every step in new shoes, haha.
The best part of the day though was not running related (blasphemy, I know!) It was that I was able to catch some of the Swimming and Diving NCAA Championships on tv. Woooohhooooo!!!! It reaaaalllllyyyyy made me want to get back into the pool...I can't convey just HOW much. I miss it like you wouldn't believe. (Sometimes I wish you could express intonation over the internet.)

Harsh. I've come close to blowing chunks but (cross fingers knock on wood) have not as of yet full on vomited during a race.
I've come close but never had the cigar...so the speak! Glad you had a good day
